All film photography, using 35mm or 6x7cm camera outfits.
My biggest influences are: Henri Cartier-Bresson, the French photographer who elevated street photography to an art form. He had the wisdom to anticipate what might happen and the patience to wait for it. MC Escher who played with our planes of perception. And Dr. Seuss who reminds us not to take ourselves too seriously.
Approximately 1% of my images are staged, maybe another 4% are what I had in mind when I set out that day. 95% are things I noticed on my way to do something else. Every day I set out with my cameras I feel like a kid on the first day of summer vacation, I hope you get a bit of that feeling when you look at my artwork.
I am always interested in great views or places to stay, contact me if you have either, maybe we can work a trade?
